  • Back-A-Yard project – Back-a-Yard is an oral history project which gathered the stories of African-Caribbean people who came to live in Newport during the 1950s and 1960s (and later), which included their memories of the Caribbean and their reasons for coming to the UK. The eighteen-month project was run by SEWREC and supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund. The project ran from October 2014 to March 2016.
